“People who wait for a magic wand fail to see that they ARE the magic wand.” – Thomas Leonard
Recognize that you are in charge of you – your future, your everything. There is no fairy godmother, no genie in the lamp, no wizard in the land of Oz. It’s up to you, only you, to nurture your dreams, pick your goals, build your plans, and then go after what you want.
When you’re not satisfied with where you are, when you stoke the burning desire to be in a better place, when you’re willing to get uncomfortable, step forward and enlist the resources of the universe – that’s when the real magic happens.
“Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire and begin at once, whether you’re ready or not, to put this plan into action.” – Napoleon Hill
The operative phrase: “… begin at once, whether you’re ready or not,…” No delay, no procrastinating, no hesitating or waiting for the perfect moment, the perfect readiness. Tomorrow will bring its own set of issues and challenges. If you don’t start at once, you may never start – obstacles and distractions will inevitably show up.
Move beyond fear, doubt and consideration – and start. You can always make course corrections once you get rolling.
Today, begin your new chapter.
“Only one thing makes a dream impossible: the fear of failure.” – Paulo Coelho
When you embrace fear, you close the door to possibility. When you embrace the risk of failure, and step forward to attempt – to act – you destroy the power of fear, you break the psychological shackles of shame, embarrassment, and procrastination. You tell yourself and your world that nothing will stand in the way of reaching your goals.
Navigate beyond the disabling consequences of fear, and chart the journey to your dreams.
“You can be fearful and try, or fearful and not try; but only trying will move you ahead.” – Audre Lorde
You having nothing to lose, and everything to gain, when you face your fear and do it anyway; when you move beyond the paralyzing grasp of your mental naysayer.
You don’t have to fight fear, you don’t need a complicated explanation for why it’s there. Just recognize its presence, and keep going.
Become remarkable. Move through and past your fear, and open the door to a higher level of living. Discover a new level of achievement and excellence.
“What is necessary to change a person is to change his awareness of himself.” – Abraham Maslow
Are you spending enough time in front of your mental mirror? It’s easy to miss seeing the real you. It’s easy to only catch only a glimpse, and not the full image.
Continual positive change starts with awareness. Pay attention to the outcomes you experience. They are a reflection, an indicator, of the person you’re becoming. Do you see all green lights, or are yellow warning signals flashing?
Take the time to know yourself. Take the time to observe and embrace feedback. Take the time to see if you like the person you’re becoming. And if you don’t, then take corrective action. Make the changes to make the positive difference in your life.
Why multi-task your dreams?
When you say yes to what you want, say no to what you don’t want. Move forward, and in the process, create focus, eliminate distraction and reject the dilution of your desire.
Let your energy become singular, concentrated and powerful. Develop a laser-like attraction to your dreams. Remember, the life of excellence is about moving ahead – no need to look back, no need for regrets.
Many work hard. Very hard. Every day. Few have taken the time, or pursued the action, to design an excellent life. Few have committed the time to think, to dream, to plan, and then act on their plans.
So what will it be? Will you make a living, or design your life? Will you run life’s marathon on a treadmill, or step forward on the path to your dreams?
“There are only two words that will always lead you to success. Those words are yes and no. Undoubtedly, you’ve mastered saying yes. So start practicing saying no. Your goals depend on it.” – Jack Canfield
What you keep out of your life is at least as important as what you bring in. Too many repetitions of “yes” can create distraction, noise and clutter. Too much “yes” can obscure your possibilities, diffuse your energy, and frustrate your efforts to move ahead.
Think before you say yes. Finesse the art of saying no.
“Life’s not about waiting for the storm to pass…. It’s about learning to dance in the rain.” – Vivian Greene
The unexpected can, and will, show up at any time. It can come in abundance. Regardless, you always get to choose how you react.
You can hide, you can deny a problem or challenge exists, you can give up. Or you can face what shows up, and find a creative way to handle it. There’s always a solution beyond the problem. Sometimes it’s within the problem. To get there, you must be willing to shift your perspective, to re-frame your attitude, to seek and discover possibility in the midst of confusion, fear and anxiety.
Nuture within the desire, the motivation, the grit, to move beyond the storms that show up; and get your dancing shoes on!
“… Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life….” – Tecumseh
Every day presents the opportunity to embrace possibility, to in some way create anew, to end the day greater than when you started.
Every day, encounter your magnificence. Every day, show and share your gratitude for one more day to make a difference. And then make a difference.
