Get in the swim lane

“Character is higher than intellect.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

What you do defines your character.  Not what you think about, or what you intend to do – all that brain power is just potential.

It’s not enough to talk about and ponder wonderful ideas, you must also live them.  Your behavior is like swimming – you’re actively moving in a desired direction.  But your thoughts and intentions are like treading water – nothing really changes, nothing happens until you get in the swimming lane.

Get in the swim lane.  Define who you really are.
