I care what others think.
Why not reframe this to “whose judgment do I genuinely respect, and what do they think?” It will be a very short list.
Remember, loud reactions are rarely trustworthy. Social media opinions are deeply biased. In the end, what others think is more often noise passed off as wisdom.
Never outsource your sense of direction to those with no stake in your life; where they share the advice and you bear the consequences.
Who will be there when your decision plays out? Most likely, just you.
