I see that you take an exceedingly fond ear to the art form of rave/dubstep/trance/house/party/techno etc. style type of music. Pretty cool because so do I and I also find myself very motivated and enthusiastic when it comes to waking up early and working out. Been doing it for quite a few years due to being in the Marine Corps but have slacked recently but I'm back on my 5:30am in the weight room by 6:00am and I always listen to some sort of high energized feel type vibe of music thus being rave, hardcore rave, trance, dubstep, etc. So that's why I'm commenting on your blog because honestly I RARELY perform any sort of blogging action like this. Suggestion: I once heard from numerous of Personnel Trainers that one handed push ups are EXTREMELY detrimental to the back and it causes a lot of strain on the arms. Not for sure if that is true or not because most of the world's answers are just based on fact and it differs from individual to individual. That's why I'm not a statistic type of being. But the real reason why I blogged you was to inform you that I make music like the one your listening to in that video and on your day to day routine workout schedule and throughout your day. So I just want you to listen to it and if you like it then it could be some more music for you to workout too. P.S. Some of the music that you will hear on my CD is pretty straight forward NEGATIVE and I DON'T live the lyrics or even do the things I say I do in some of the songs listed in my CD. It was all part of the project of a first ever new art form of music I founded and came up with called "Rap Rave"! So I hope you enjoy the CD and if you do then please just comment back on this wall post. Also if you like it then tell your friends and family about it because my passion in life is MUSIC! ALL TYPES OF MUSIC! Classical is hands down my favorite genre of music though. I LOVE to hear PIANO music and GUITAR music being played! Take care, good luck on any future endeavors you have set forth for yourself in this journey we call life, and the best of wishes to you.

Yeah, I started falling in love with dance music in the late 90s and vocal trance in the early 2000s. As college hit and my brain turned to molten steel I started needing hardcore and dnb, often in one headphone while listening to Top 40s in the other. It took me a while to fall for dub, but somewhere between 2008 and now I’ve transitioned from boxy dnb form to hells-out dub movement. Now I’m easily the most jacked up kid at local dub shows despite reliable sobriety.

Waking early is difficult for me; I’m extremely inconsistent. I made the mistake of recently discovering that our spines need about an hour to dehydrate and reduce risk of injury in the mornings before we work out. I may have to ignore it a bit and warm up heavy; I’d like to be moving some serious weight by 5:30. I’ve been considering popping ibuprofen, omega 3s and taking a hot-cold shower as soon as I wake up followed by a walk and jog; good to go heavy by 5:30.

I’m honored that you’ve broken habit to comment on my blog. Cool to know we’ve got so much in common.

Ha, speaking of back injuries; regarding one-handed pushups, I believe it can be detrimental to your back your form is as jacked up and you’re as unfit for them as I am; but the only issue I can imagine would be from developing a powerful imbalance in the support muscles that pull laterally on the upper spine. Strain on the arms is certainly true, but I’ve always trained upper body with particular attention to tennis elbow and rotator cuff issues. I imagine I’m doing far more torqueing at far greater force when pulling human flags and vertical pushups. After over-running my knees in 2007 I’ve been pretty obsessive about progressively training into any given activity. That all being said, thank you for sharing the knowledge; I’ll definitely keep an eye on myself and spend more time with regular pushups and balancing (found some issues doing pull ups at Santa Monica on Sunday) before doing one-handed again.

Is music your full-time pursuit? It’s tight stuff; I really dig it.

Ha, very cool. I’ve been playing piano for 20 years. I’ve fallen out of practice the last couple months, but the skill hasn’t slipped beyond recovery. Mom visited for Mother’s Day and dropped off my guitar; never been good but enjoy the sound.

Best of luck and wishes to you!

Quis, I've been listening to both of your sites all day at work. I’m looking forward to putting this to disc when I get home tonight.

I love your rap rave concept. I feel like rave has gotten far heavier in the last few years as heads have transitioned from trance/house/electro to dub/hard/dnb; though, this transition may simply be my unique and limited experience of the scene. I'd love to hear you spit on some heavier stuff. I’d also love to hear you spit about something other than drugs. I imagine the subject matter is well chosen for the rap rave concept, but I’m far more into the new age electronic movement scene: love, connection, shared experience.

Are you working on any new projects? Do you do live performances? I’ve caught some live rap at dub shows but the levels are horrible and appropriately so, you’d blow them away with the free work I heard at Casey’s last year.
