“It’s a glorious feeling to be in a state of denial; that’s why people do it.” – Hugh MacLeod
Some live much of their lives in an intoxicated state of denial. They refuse to accept accountability. They redirect to others the cause of, and responsibility for, their problems and challenges. The facade, the walls, the teflon shell they wrap around their lives, give a false sense of safety, security, and control. But the walls of denial eventually become prison walls.
The mark of maturity is a life of accepting accountability for everything that happens in your life. You cannot move to levels of mastery and excellence within the dark walls of a lie.
Today, and every day, live in the light.
