Sometimes more is less

“Doing more of what doesn’t work won’t make it work any better.” – Charles Givens

Persistence isn’t about jamming the square peg in the round hole.  It’s about finding, and pursuing, the best path to get where you want to go, to reach your goals and grab hold of your dreams.

There is no shame, no embarrassment, in difficulty and failure.  When you recognize that you are whole and intact in spite of the challenges you encounter and mistakes you’ve made, you can then leverage the learning experience, leverage the time to begin again – only better.  There is no need for protracted heartbreak, hand-ringing distress and frustration.  If plans aren’t working out, maybe it’s time to make a shift.  Maybe it’s time to reframe, adjust, and change the roadmap.

Time is short, your focus and energy are too valuable to dilute on things that really need to change.  Make the shift, and keep moving forward.
