The tragedy of modern life

“… a tragedy of our modern life is that everything is interesting but nothing becomes deeply important.” – Walker Percy

We like to dabble, to check things out, to explore what’s new and novel.  But when we get distracted by the merely interesting – and there is plenty of it – we lose focus on what’s important.

Stay aware of what’s going on around you, but be vigilant to jettison clutter, to simplify and concentrate on your priorities and passions.  Nothing is unattainable if you focus on it, but you must first focus.
