Zumba

Whether you are a curvy goddess or an average size person, the foundation of a Zumba fitness class is incorporating aerobic interval training with Latin dance movements that keep the heart rate levels high. Instructors teach basic Latin moves to upbeat music during a 1 hour class. Music tempos change from low to moderate to high. The class will feel more like dancing than exercising. Each class is different depending on the instructor, and is easy to learn. Having fun is the core of Zumba. Perfect for all ages, the most important thing is to just start moving.

Some of the benefits to a Zumba fitness program include weight loss thanks to increased metabolism and the high calorie burning latin dance moves. Zumba is also great for promoting cardiovascular health whilst also toning muscles.

Fitness Boot Camp

Fitness Boot Camps are an indoor outdoor group class that combines interval and strength training with calisthenics. In a military style boot camp, these challenging exercises utilize body weight exercises with a mix of aerobic elements and martial arts moves. The classes are usually 4-8 weeks of training usually 2-3 times a week. Exercises may include push-ups, crunches, drills, sprints and aerobic moves. Camaraderie is an important element in boot camp classes and participants are encouraged to motivate each other to push themselves beyond their limits. It is a cost effective class that all ages can participate in at their level. The goal of boot camps is to build strength and endurance.

Physique 57

Physique 57 is a workout that combines isometric exercises and orthopedic stretches that sculpt and lengthen muscles. It also focuses on muscle defining arm exercises, fluid stretches, abdominal moves and intense thigh stretches. The goal is to create lean muscles and better core balance. The workout uses the body’s weight as resistance and targets and overloads muscles to the point of fatigue, and then stretches the muscles with slow fluid movements.

Group Rowing

This class is a strenuous low impact workout that concentrates on muscles toning. Participants work in unison but can work at their own pace, levels and abilities. They also learn proper rowing techniques and are perfect for those who wish to have an exercise that is easy on the joints. The classes are perfect for all ages, but especially ideal for older participants.

SurfSet Classic

This class allows its participants to simulate surfing without ever touching water. The entire class is performed on a surfboard. The workout focuses on major muscles groups.
