    Consequences matter The consequences of action matter more than the action. Seek to understand the measure and quality of the intended outcomes of your actions.  Explore the possibility of unintended consequences too. There is value in thinking consequentially.

    The lure of ambiguity Ambiguity is a trap.  When you tell yourself “sometime today,” instead of, for example, 3:00 PM this afternoon, you set yourself up for failure. Success requires specificity.   Goals, plans, and actions are time specific.  The language of “maybe, probably, and sometime” takes you nowhere. Get specific.
