Compared to what?

Say yes to one opportunity and you say no to the alternative.   The choice for one rejects what could also be.

Do you know the hidden cost of your choice?  Is it more than just the opportunity cost of time, attention and money?

We judge decisions by what we gain, rarely what we give up.  But is the better question: compared to what?

A good opportunity can still be a bad choice if it displaces a great one.
