Even though technology has had a very positive effect on our today’s world, there are other negative impacts that it has brought about. Due to technology many indoor games have been created which have highly led our children to become very lazy. Nowadays, many children prefer to stay on the computer playing video games rather than going outside to play. Our children spend more time on the coach and this has led to an increase in the number of overweight children.

The only way we can change all these is by trying to get our children to exercise and go out more. As a parent you have to look for ways that will make your kid fit and active. Instead of dropping him or her everywhere let him walk or use the bicycle. By walking or cycling the child becomes more active as he or she burns excess fat in the body.

Your kid can only be fit if he or she is involved in physical activities. Even at home you can get your child to be active by exercising together, playing together or even dog walking. It is important however, that you try to look for activities that your child will enjoy doing.

Other than getting your child to exercise, you can make them active by changing their diet. Most parents feed their children a lot of junk food which is very unhealthy. Make sure that your child eats a well balanced diet that includes fruits and vegetables and that you give him plenty of water. Remember that your child is growing and therefore, his body needs a lot of energy which he can only get through the food you feed him. Feeding your child an unbalanced diet will only make him weak.

Teachers should also work hand in hand with parents to ensure that every kid gets involved in extra curriculum activities when in school.
