“To get out of the box, you have to see the box.” – Robert K. Cooper
We create our own problems, we’re unable to see that we are creating those problems, and we resist attempts to stop creating our problems. As a species, we are excellent at self-deception.
It takes two seemingly opposing actions to get outside the box: creating heightened self-awareness, and exercising the discipline of self-detachment. You must open your eyes and see who you are, and what’s going on in your world. You must stand back – as if a stranger – and see yourself for what you’ve become. You must see yourself within the box you’ve created.
Are you ready for change? Is it time to get out of the box?
