“It’s a marathon, not a sprint.”
Some days you wake up and realize you’re not where you intended to be. The internal critic, that perfectionist inside, starts comparing you to your peers, to achievements you once reached, to heights you once climbed and occupied – but no longer. You feel frustrated; feel like you’re running out of time, or runway, or enough energy to get where you think you really should be.
Step back. Take a deep breath. You’re okay, you’re enough. What differentiates you from those of the animal kingdom is that you can create that fresh start, that reinvention. You can start again, only better this time. You can do it at any age, and even with limited resources. But it will never happen until you decide, until you choose to act and pursue your longer journey.
