I turned 40. I have less advice than ever. Maybe that’s wisdom.

I may have less advice than ever, but perhaps it’s more accurate and meaningful.

It can seem like nothing I’ve done has ever been worth it. There may be only a small failure in that perspective.

I’ve always known there was no objective meaning for life. But this is irrelevant, even absurd. We are not objective beings. We are subjective.

Most of us are dominated by mind. And we seem to use them ever less well as a society. The mind can be a helpful tool for building future stability. But you spend most of your time suffering the past or future or fictional or nonsensical images.

The mind separates us from what is real – the reality of our present experience.
And everything is always already alright.

It is true, we do not occupy the garden of Eden. We are full of sin. It can feel like hell out there. There is indeed work to be done to secure your safety.

But most of what you should be doing requires very little mind. Your distracted, sedentary life would be better lived active, and present.

Do what should be done. Hold yourself in compassion. Worry not.
