“Work is love made visible.” – Kahil Gibran
To find love, to find passion and meaning in what you do, is to become intimate with life’s inmost secret. Far too many are skilled in what they do, yet have not found the passion. They begrudge work, and have failed to discover the nobility and inner joy of building, creating, and discovering meaning in their effort applied. The fruit of effort applied without love is bitter.
Finding meaning, finding joy in work is less about what you do, it’s more about how you feel about yourself in doing it. It’s about discovering inner worth and value while accomplishing even the routine. It’s about stepping within a more joyful procession of life.
If you don’t find joy and a sense of worth and accomplishment in what you do, then consider change. Change what you do, or become better in how you do it, or alter your attitude and perspective. Life is too short to cling to indifference in effort applied.
