The mediocre will warn you to be careful, to proceed with caution, to choose the safe, the tried and true. You can follow their advice, but recognize that in doing so you will certainly miss the sweet reward of serendipity, the uncommon discovery, and the experience of surprise and astonishment in your life.
There is more to life than playing it safe.
