When it’s not the same as perfect
You will constantly disappoint yourself if you try to practice until perfect. Perfect is too fragile and uncommon.
Practice until you can’t-get-it-wrong is a more meaningful approach. It’s working to ensure failure becomes the exception rather than the possibility. It’s about honing reliability and consistency, even under pressure.
Perfection is about hitting the ceiling. Can’t-get-it-wrong is about raising the floor, to ensure you are intact and good enough on your worst day.
