“The thing that is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work of becoming yourself.” – Anna Quindlen
Perfectionism is the enemy. It’s grounded in the self-destructive and addictive need to avoid shame, judgment and blame – to always be accepted and approved. Perfectionism is not the same as self-improvement, not the same as striving to be your best. It’s founded on fear rather than possibility.
Remember: You are enough, you are a beautifully imperfect, whole person. Every day, practice imperfection, practice letting go of who you think you’re supposed to be, and embrace who you are. In doing so, you create the freedom to recognize possibility, and become the best you that you can be.
