“Embrace the suck.” – military-speak
You can hate what you’re doing, and love it, at the same time. You can do the dirty work, the grunt work – the hard and often irritating work that’s part of your journey to getting what you want, arriving where you want to be. Embracing the suck is about doing the things many are too wimpy to attempt. It’s about re-engineering your attitude, and slogging through difficulty – sometimes mind-numbing difficulty – without whining and complaining.
You’re a warrior. You suck it up, do the really hard stuff, and bask in the certainty that you’re moving forward on your journey to your dreams. You know that success is work, and lots of it. Sexy, no. But you embrace it, and keep rocking.
