To fear failure is to live in a small world, to live within the shadows of perfectionism, in the marginalia of life.
Live larger. Learn to take risks. Take risks appropriate to the task or goal, take risks that keep you in the game even if you fail.
It’s okay with me if you fail, because I know you will learn from your failure and try again, only better. You will stay in the game, and prevail.
