“The person you are most afraid to contradict is yourself.” – Alexander Taleb
It’s hard to let go of all the biased opinions, slanted preconceptions, wrong conclusions, and off-based assumptions that accumulate in our lives. It’s hard to let go of righteous ego, and it’s harder yet to tell ourselves that maybe, just this time, we were wrong. But when reality doesn’t support the beliefs we’ve embraced, no amount of delusional self-talk can change what’s real.
When the facts don’t synch with the spin we’ve been telling ourselves, it’s time to move past the lies and self-deception our stubborn egos cling to. It’s time to stand in our truth and get on with a better life.
