Why is my vision so hard when I contemplate it in advance, and so easy when I do it?
When I think too hard my imagination loads the process with every possible complication and decision point; every way things could go wrong. I start to intellectualize the vision rather than just start the work.
I must remind myself daily that the issues I’m pre-solving in my head don’t yet exist. More importantly, my mind doesn’t have room for twenty contingencies; just room for the next step I need to take.
Today, the better thought is to just start.
