Props not required

Ernest Hemingway’s early drafts of what became acclaimed works began with a simple pen and tablet; often sitting in a café or in a small apartment.  The studio came much later.  Abraham Lincoln wrote the Gettysburg Address on stationery he borrowed while traveling.

We fear we are not ready, when in fact full readiness is the delay tactic of fear, an excuse to simply not start.

We are never quite ready.   We start where we are, with what we have, and resist the compulsion to demand more time, possess more props.   Fancy gear, validation, and relentless rituals of preparation are little more than procrastination in disguise.
