How are you trending?  What does the forecast look like?  Even when you allow for some element of economic fluctuation caused by stuff beyond your control – the cycle of booms and busts –  are you trending upward, or stalled, or spinning out of control?

The velocity of change is accelerating in our flat world.  Your value to the marketplace, and what you receive for that value – in whatever you do – is tied to how well you adapt and stay ahead of change. It’s about how you remain relevant and in front of the curve.  It’s about how you grow, how you expand your knowledge, your skills, and your circle of friends.
