What changed?

Self-help books compete for shelf-space and eyeballs.  Countless titles account for billions of dollars in yearly sales.   The industry grows in part because only a small percentage of motivated readers finish a self-help book and an even smaller percentage follow its recommendations.  They’re on to the next book before they’re done with the last.

Change is hard.  It’s easier to buy a new book.

The challenge is to not start another self-help book until you can name at least one action you took, one behavior you changed, as a result of the last book you read.
